Inop on my system.As is most Adobe Flash-they have done something so one MUST have minimum of Windows XP to run.

Fantastic! I don't have a very fast streaming connection, but your software seems to help speed up the process and provides more tools for enhancing an already weak signal. I have configured Sothink FLV as my main flash player for all web-video of this type. Thanks so much!

This program works much better than the Adobe 9.0.47 that I was using. I still get an occasional burp in the audio but that is due to my computer only having a 333Mhz processor. The system requirements said Windows 2000 and up but it seems to do well on my 98se. Thanks Walt.

It is not and never has been for windows CE, or any portable device. It only works on desktops from windows 2000-vista.

The version that I downloaded did not work for the flv files that I have. I do not know if trouble lies with the files I have or the software I downloaded. I may give another try once I have more flv files.

I have used this for just 1 day. It is excellent as far as its ability to play videos saved by the free version of RealPLayer, an excellent video grabbing program, but somewhat cumbersome to open up and select saved videos for viewing. Sothink FLV player is straightforward and dose a fine job on these vp6 videos.

coul not get it to work

I downloaded the program and when I tried to use it is said I needed something else and so I tried to get that and it still didn't work. so I just deleated the Sothink FLV player. I am using win 98se and the problem I am having is when I try to open a U-Tube video it get an error message. Still got the problem .

compatibility

I couldn't try the program as It's not a linux native program, and although the installer worked under WINE the program that was installed by the installer didn't work under WINE. summary; the installer installs with only a few errors via WINE or crossover office, but the program doesn't run with either WINE or crossover office..

It Works!!

I have used quite a few media players.
Lately though I have had trouble getting FLV clips to play though.
Tried installing different players, updating software, searching for codecs, but still there were those few clips that did not work.

Then I tried SoThink FLV Player. Quick and Easy to install, and it worked first time round. Excellent!!!

Sothink FLV review

Downloaded OK, installed straightforwardly, (Windows XP) and appears to play FLVs well, allowing forward and backward searching through the video in addition to normal play mode. The window can be resized on demand from thumbprint size to fullscreen. A distinct improvement on my previous FLV player.

The player works as described: perfect!
One additional feature would be helpful: Files that are removed from their initial position to other folders ore burned to CD or DVD leave an entry with a warning prompt in the library and have to be removed manually.

Simple and Easy

I was looking for a simple (and quick download/install) application to play back an FLV file that was recorded from my screen as I was troubleshooting another application. I needed a player that provided a clear image when the viewing window was resized. Sothink FLV Player worked perfectly!

Free Sothink FLV Player works as advertised

I downloaded the free Sothink FLV player.
The install was fast and required no intervention on my XP machine. The file type was associated to the Sothink player as part of the install.

I had problems playing videos downloaded from youtube because my OS is windows 98. The videos worked on my other computers with Windows XP and windows 2000. Sothink FLV solved my problems.

Zip would not open.

The zip file I downloaded from your site wouldn't open I downloaded the latest mac version.
I'm using a 2 x 3 ghz dual core intel xeon 4gb 667mhz ddr2 fb-dimm.
Running mac os x version 10. 4. 10.
And I have the latest version of stuffit expander and some other crappy zip programme and I didn't work on either.
Hope you can resolve this in the future id really like to have a go of your software.

Excellent image quality

This player allows me to see the flv videos with the same quality as in YouTube. Others players only give a tiny awful version. Now I can download what I´m interested in, with excellent quality without having to be online.

Versitile for Travelers

As a frequent traveler to dialup-only internet areas, I like to download videos from youtube, etc., in the FLV format and save them for viewing in the boondocks. The Sothink player appears to play everything thrown at it from UnPlug and VideoDownloader. Using the player is simple and the playback quality is good.

This little proggie is the ONLY one i've seen to play .flv's without any undue stress. I recommend this to anyone who wants to save flashes from youtube for later viewing.
